After final shape you are the only person I can rely on to accurately critique Bungies narrative decisions. It shouldn’t take multiple outside lore sources to get a good context for WHY characters are doing certain things. I enjoy seeing YOU a player pretty detached from the lore sphere point out how this story does not and has not worked for you. You have helped me realize that most of the story and plot exists outside the game AND DEFINITELY outside the campaign experience.

To be fair...many people with mental illness ARE reduced to their illness. Often even by the patient themselves. Having this characters character trait BEING bipolar, isn't far off, sadly. Obviously not starting to get into the why's and how's, but it is reality. Not defending 13 reasons why, just pointing it out. I also agree with this shows biggest problem being, that they think so highly of the message, while romanticizing the outcome, instead of actually dealing with the real inner conflict of all this stuff.

Even though the actual "jokes" in the movie were awful and unfunny, this movie is still very funny in a surreal, modern humor kind of way. Where everything its just so random and incoherent it becomes funny. It feels more like a UA-cam poop than a movie half the time, with the miscellaneous free maya assets and the constant loops in animation for the bulk, or some stupid shit like how the bulk gets hit by a nuclear bomb and survives, then falls from a 1 story building and "dies." Wish more movies were this stupid with their presentation

But seeing everyone in agreement that shows like these (I’m throwing euphoria in here too) do more damage than good, using “we’re trying to start a conversation” or “the education excuse” to excuse why they over dramatise and make things explicit is so harmful. If y’all wanna learn about mental illness/ addiction, speak to and actually listen to actual victims/survivors/ families and friends for an actual perspective

I watched this movie _years_ ago. Like, VHS-Era years ago! And hadn't watched it since, until it showed up on TCM. And while, yes, this movie _is_ *LEGENDARILY* atrocious, the writers, the director, the producers, the cameramen, the editors, all the way down the list of cast and crew, down to even the _caterers_ can be proud of this one thing: In bringing us the Garbage Pail Kids Movie, they have all been part of a project that is, at least, 6,275 times _better_ than *any* of the woke bile being vomited out by HollyCrap anymore.
